Do I need a skin test before colour?
Yes. A skin (patch) test is mandatory 48 hours before any colour or chemical service for all new clients. It takes two minutes.
What is the difference between organic and traditional colour?
Our organic range is ammonia and PPD-free, suitable for sensitive scalps and pregnancy. The result is comparable but the developing time and longevity differ slightly.
How long does balayage last?
Most clients refresh balayage every 3-4 months. The colour itself is permanent, the question is when it stops looking polished.
How often should highlights be refreshed?
Highlights need refreshing every 6-12 weeks depending on the level of coverage and how fast your hair grows.
Can I have colour done while pregnant?
Many clients have colour during pregnancy, especially with our organic range. We recommend waiting past the first trimester and doing a skin test 48 hours before. Always check with your midwife.
How much is colour correction?
Colour correction is quoted on consultation because complexity varies. As a guide, single-session corrections start around £120-£200, multi-session plans from £300 up.
Will colour damage my hair?
Modern colour ranges are kinder than older formulations, but lifting (lightening) is more demanding than darkening. We add Olaplex (£35) to colour services where appropriate to protect long-term condition.
How do I make my colour last longer?
Wait 48 hours before the first wash. Use sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo. Wash in cool water. Heat-style with protectant. Book a treatment between full colours.
Do you cover grey hair?
Yes. Permanent full head colour from £75 covers grey thoroughly. Highlights are also a popular blending option for grey transitions.
What is the difference between balayage and highlights?
Highlights are foiled and more uniform. Balayage is hand-painted and softer, with a more natural grow-out. Highlights refresh every 6-12 weeks, balayage every 3-4 months.
Do you do colour remover?
Yes. Colour remover is £100. It strips out artificial pigment from the hair before re-colouring.
How long does a colour appointment take?
Root touch-up around 90 minutes including blow dry. Full head 2-2.5 hours. Balayage or full head highlights 2.5-3 hours. Advanced babylight up to 3.5 hours.
