Many of our clients colour during pregnancy. The most-asked question is whether it is safe. The honest answer is that it usually is, with the right product, the right timing, and a skin test - but you should always check with your midwife or GP first. We are hairdressers, not doctors.

Our pregnancy-friendly approach
- Organic range. Our organic colour is ammonia and PPD-free, the two ingredients pregnant clients most commonly want to avoid. Organic full head from £80, organic root touch-up £65.
- Surface techniques. Balayage, foilage, and highlights apply lightener away from the scalp, with no direct contact, which many clients prefer during pregnancy.
- Timing. Many clients prefer to wait past the first trimester, when nausea has settled and the developmental stage is past.
- Skin test. Mandatory 48 hours before any colour service for new clients, and a good idea even for existing clients during pregnancy because skin sensitivity can change.
- Ventilation and seating. The salon is well-ventilated. We can adjust seat height, offer water, and pause if needed.

Skin test policy
For any colour or chemical service, we require a skin (patch) test 48 hours before your appointment. This is mandatory for all new clients. It takes two minutes and protects you against allergic reactions. Book the patch test when you book the service, or call us on 0208 994 8008.
