Olaplex is a bonding treatment that repairs broken disulphide bonds inside the hair shaft. Unlike a conditioner, which sits on the cuticle and rinses off, Olaplex actually rebuilds the internal structure of the hair.

When to book Olaplex
- If your hair is bleach-lifted, balayaged, or highlighted regularly, add Olaplex to every colour appointment.
- If hair feels rough, snaps when wet, or has lost elasticity, book a standalone treatment.
- If you have heat-styled or chemically straightened in the past and the hair is now compromised, a course of 3-4 standalone treatments over 6-8 weeks can rebuild noticeably.
- Curly hair benefits especially - the bond repair helps definition come back.
How a standalone Olaplex appointment works
- Step 1 (No.1) - applied at the basin, sits on the hair for around 10 minutes.
- Step 2 (No.2) - applied through wet hair, sits for a further 20+ minutes depending on damage level.
- Wash, condition, and finish with blow dry (blow dry can be added at the standard price).
Olaplex at home
The salon Olaplex steps (No.1 and No.2) are stronger than the home range. The home range (No.3, No.4, No.5+) is good maintenance but does not replace an in-salon bonder.
