How we run children's appointments
- Quick consultation with the parent and child. We agree the look before the chair, not on the chair.
- No surprises. If a child is anxious, we slow down. If they are happy, we work at their pace.
- Booster cushions for younger children. Comfortable, no fuss.
- Honest about timing. A first haircut may take longer than the slot - we do not rush a difficult cut.
First haircut tips for parents
- Book a quiet time of day - mid-morning works best.
- Bring a small toy or a phone with their favourite show queued up.
- Tell us in advance if your child is sound-sensitive - we can avoid the dryer if needed.
- Aim for "tidy and shaped" rather than dramatic on visit one. Big changes can wait.
